Dorothy is a Senior Project Officer with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) based at Flinders Medical Centre. She is a qualified teacher and experienced trainer.
Dorothy gained accreditation as an Adult Mental Health First Aid instructor in 2005 and as a Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor in 2007. She will deliver both courses for MindSavers.
Dorothy’s qualifications include:
- Mental Health First Aid Instructor (Adult and Youth);
- Bachelor of Education;
- Graduate Certificate in Disasbility Studies;
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training;
- Certificate 1 in AUSLAN (Australian Sign language)
- Special Teachers Certificate;
- Infant Teachers Certificate; and
- National Police Certificate.
Dorothy is committed to improving mental health literacy within the community, reducing stigma and increasing help seeking behaviours. Dorothy would be delighted to deliver Mental Health First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid courses as widely as possible.
