Heidi is a Child and Family Counsellor who has been working in the field for approximately 9 years.

Heidi has focused hHeidi Photoer career in mental health, trauma, abuse and neglect, working with children and families to help rebuild the broken bonds and foster happier healthier attachments. Heidi has worked for charitable organisations such as Lifeline, Centacare and Saint Vincent de Paul Society.
More recently, Heidi coordinated a Team of Counsellors, known as the “Family Mental Health Support Service”, a federally funded pilot program delivering counselling, support and education services throughout the Wide-Bay Burnett region. This service was provided free to parents, children, carers, friends, family members and other service professionals. Heidi and her Team delivered the “Mental Health First Aid” course to adults, as well as the “I-Can” and “Friends for Life” Programs, to primary and secondary school students. Collectively these courses taught therapeutic coping strategies and identification techniques to help minimise the effects of Mental illnesses, enabling adults, children and adolescents to recognise and cope with symptoms.
Heidi’s qualifications include:
•    Mental Health First Aid Instructor (Adult Edition 2) Accredited 2008, Updated 2010.
•    Bachelor of Behavioural Science;
•    National Police Certificate.
•    Disability Services Positive notice Card (includes National Police Check)
•    Positive Notice Blue Card for Child related employment (includes State Police Check)
Heidi is dedicated to providing support and education about Mental Health Issues, helping to break down the barriers within the community. BALANCE IS THE KEY.
