Erika Day

Erika Day is a Registered Psychologist who has been working in the mental health field since 1999. During this time, as well as engaging people in individual therapy, she has trained groups in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, self-identity, depression, anxiety management, communication and conflict resolution.

Erika currently works primarily with people who are carers of family or friends suffering from mental health disorders. In this role she provides counselling, mental health information, and skills training about navigating the mental health system, advocating for mental health issues and maintaining one’s own wellbeing whilst caring for others.

Erika’s qualifications include:

  • Mental Health First Aid Instructor (Adult and Youth);
  • Bachelor of Behavioural Science;
  • Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology;
  • Certificate in Gestalt Therapy;
  • Drug and Alcohol Internship; and
  • National Police Certificate.

Erika has experience delivering various training sessions throughout the Sydney and Illawarra areas regarding mental health and social and emotional wellbeing and her aim in delivering MHFA is to increase both individual and community awareness, confidence and resourcefulness regarding mental health issues.
